How it all started...
Our story began with a simple goal: we wanted to raise a multilingual family and experience the joy of learning a new language together.
As a Dutch–Iranian couple, we speak Dutch together at home, but we also wanted to embrace Persian as part of our family's future. Along the way, we discovered that many other families shared the same dream: raising bilingual children and learning a language together in a fun and natural way.
So we decided to create them ourselves.
We opened our first shop in 2024, and what started as a small project (with only Dutch-Persian books) quickly grew into something much bigger.
Families from all over the world asked if our books could also be available in other language combinations.
That is how Liotales was born.
Today, we work together with talented translators and native voice-over artists from around the world to create beautiful multilingual books that help families discover new languages together, one story, one word, and one adventure at a time.
